Step deeper into the classical conversation in this course, where students take a seat at the table with some of the greatest minds in history: Socrates, Plato, and Aristotle. Building on the adventures of Homer’s Odyssey in Part 1, this course challenges students to wrestle with the questions that have shaped Western thought for centuries: What is justice? What is virtue? What is the good life?
Through reading, discussion, writing, and mentorship, Scholar Phase students develop critical thinking, persuasive communication, and moral discernment. Written analysis and oral exams empower students to internalize these ideas and apply them to their own lives, strengthening character, purpose, and a sense of duty, and preparing them to think, act, and lead with clarity and courage.
Taking even one course of this caliber can make a transformative, lasting difference for students that will last a lifetime.
